The University of Parma and Tallinn University welcome qualified international students from around the world to apply for our Digital Library Learning (DILL) joint master programme taught in English. The students here appreciate not only the professional and academic environment but also the welcoming, open and friendly atmosphere of our universities.

Applications for the 11th intake of the DILL Master will be accepted online starting from August 11 and will remain open until September 25 (general information on the online procedure is available at http://www.unipr.it/node/17891 - the Call for Admissions document in english is here - the actual online procedure link is https://unipr.esse3.cineca.it/Home.do - click on eng in the top right corner to switch to english then in the "RESERVED AREA" red box (top left corner) do the registration first and then the login - follow these instructions to choose DILL on the Esse3 application/admission website). 

The courses will start in October 2017. The online application procedure necessarily requires the following documents:

  1. Italian Tax Number (in italian "Codice Fiscale") : non-resident individuals who need to obtain a tax code can apply for it to the Italian consular authorities in the country of residence. A digital copy of the obtained Tax/Fiscal code document must be uploaded during the online registration procedure
  2. Declaration of Value (in italian "Dichiarazione di valore" : foreign documents and certificates must be issued by the competent authority of the awarding institution and translated into Italian.Documents must then be certified and notarized by the competent Italian Embassy/Consulate of the country where the awarding institution is located; the Italian Embassy/Consulate will issue the Declaration of Value (DV - Dichiarazione di valore in loco). A digital copy of the Declaration of Value should be uploaded during the online application procedure and the original document must be sent by post to the University of Parma in order to complete the registration to the Master programme. 


Prerequisite requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent
  • English language proficiency
  • Knowledge and skills with computers for information use.
  • Statement of purpose in English (i.e. motivation, subject of interest, plans for study)
  • 1-3 reference letter
  • Interview with the admission committee – the admission interview is a part of the application process and can be taken in Septmber. Interview is carried out via Skype.
